Crack Attack! is aptly named, because it is an extremely addictive game. In fact, you had better set aside an hour when you download this game. You'll need it. Single and 2-player modes available.
How It Works
In Tetris, the blocks fall from the sky. In Crack Attack!, the blocks come from underneath, and scroll upward. The speed of the blocks get faster as the game goes on. You know how it works—games like to punish you for doing well! As the blocks appear, you must position the cursor, over a pair of side-by-side blocks and hit the space bar. When you do, the blocks will swap places.
The goal is to get three or more blocks of the same color in a row. When you do, they will explode and disappear, reducing the number (and height) of the blocks still on your screen. You must continue to do this, despite the large red blocks that drop from the sky and the increasing speed of the new blocks that appear from the bottom.
Conclusion
This is a crazy good game. It's a unique concept done well, with an attractive graphic interface that is colorful and exciting to play. This is one of the best and most-played open source games we've installed on our Windows PCs. It is a must-download!
